Named after Chief Pocatello, a 19th century Northern Shoshone Leader, Pocatello is the first Intermountain Claims location dating back to 1981. Known as the “Gate City”, this city was the gateway to Idaho and the Pacific Northwest as pioneers, miners and settlers traveled the Oregon Trail. It is also the home to Idaho State University.
